FineScanner - PDF Document Scanner App Free + OCR App Reviews

Im familiar with ABBYY FineReader on the Mac, so I knew I had to give this app a try. My two biggest gripes with iPhone OCR is poor recognition and the inability to run OCR on more than one page at a time. This app eliminates both drawbacks! Recognition is slow and has to be sent out to the server (so make sure you have a Wi-Fi connection) but it gives near 100% accuracy! Instead of scanning one page, then doing OCR, then scanning the next page, running OCR, etc., you can scan all pages and then run OCR on all of them at the same time. Yay!!!

The only two things Id think of adding in an update are: the ability to import multi page PDFs from ibooks, email, cloud hosts etc the ability to mark PDFs and images up with multiple, numbered selection zones when OCRing, thus ensuring that an OCR occurs in the correct order (which presently DOES NOT happen if you OCR multi-column or multi-text-box source).

This is a great app. I use it often for numerous pages that I would like to combine to one PDF as well as expense receipts to my company in a small PDF file. It also allows me to save numerous items in any of my cloud folders. I truly recommend it.

Went through a few apps that were supposed to work the same. This is the best one and it actually is free to use. Other apps are free to download but then charge you to convert to PDF. This is truly a free PDF and offers password protection, multi-language features and other bonuses for a reasonable fee. Awesome app, perfect for the documents I needed scanned. Great graphic quality.

I own a trucking company and this ap allows us to get paperwork from the truck to factoring company on the spot.

The scanning functionality is great. But when I try to log into my Google Drive account, either during the scanning process or under settings, the app crashes when I move the focus to the password field.

I use this for the office. Works perfectly for expenses.

I was not expected that it will let me capture images the way it does. Im really satisfied!

Didnt have to bother with going to printer /scanner just snapped my 3 images and they instantly became PDFs. Nice!

I use this weekly to scan receipts and/or notes. It is very easy to use.

Much better than tiny scanner. This app allows you to batch pages (make a multi page document) for free! Totally saved me a trip to a kinkos.

Excellent for OCRd documents made from text-only books. Struggles with OCRd documents made from two-page magazine layouts. It appears that the graphics tend to reduce character resolution. You should take a photograph to supplement and support your final work product. Thank you, AABBY.

Products works well, but dont like deceptive companys. Your Facebook says Premium FREE for life, but then you want to charge.....

I know NOTHING about this . Just found the ad pop up for it. Ive experimented w/ most the gadgets just to see what it does. I dont know what PDF means but apparently Im " PDF ",ing everything with it. Hoping to learn what it is... & does. Haaaa Ive always been the little kid that wanted to explore & ask why questions & end up in trouble
